ABOUT ABOUT

Last year almost 70,000 children from El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras travelled alone to the US.  Want to learn more about this population?  Join us for a screening  of Which Way Home followed by a panel discussion as part of the One Book, One Philadlephia series.  Which Way Home shows the harrowing crossing that child migrants take as they travel through Mexico to the U.S. on a freight train they call “The Beast.” Told through the eyes of children who undertake this dangerous and desperate journey in hopes of reaching family and carving out a better life, this award-winning documentary is the story of resourcefulness, courage, and altruism. The screening will be followed by a discussion led by representatives of the Nationalities Service Center, a local nonprofit organization serving immigrants and refugees.
